GUNDOG TRAINING DAYS
Buccleuch Kennels offer gundog training days to owners and handlers. These are held either on a group or one-to-one basis and cover the basic training of obedience through to advanced techniques of gundog training that will test your dog to the very limit in both land and water.
It is, however, assumed that you have mastered some basic training before attending one of these training courses and that your dog will come when called, sit on command and stay for a short time.
These are excellent gundog training courses which cover the techniques of handling and training equipment you need achieve a high standard and insight into the handling of your gundog in the sporting field or field trial competitions.
Our professional handlers are led by David Lisett. He is a member of the Scottish Gundog team and took first, second and third places at the 2007/8 Irish Springer Championships at the Glenarm Estate in Northern Ireland. Quite an achievement!
Training will take place in the beautiful open country of the Queensberry Estate in Dumfries and Galloway where various training areas of natural cover and open moorland are established.
PROGRAMMES:
Packages can be created for 2 or 3 days at a time with accommodation available.
